Self-comparison is one of the most common felt, not to mention dangerous, emotions. When you worry and question yourself as to whether or not you measure up, you immediately set up self-destructing roadblocks to a positive self-esteem and unhappiness. To compare yourself with others, is indirectly questioning your own self-worth. You are already giving in to self-destructive thoughts such as:

-I am not as pretty...

-I am not as skinny..

-I don`t have the same walk as..

-I will never be able to afford...

-I could never be as popular as...

If you were to say these things out loud or watch yourself say them in a mirror, it would not take long to hear a true lack of self-respect. Have you ever heard that the more you tell yourself something, the more you will surely begin to believe it? Well, this is why I speak so highly of retraining your thought patterns. Whether it is positive or negative thoughts, eventually your mind will be re-trained. The key is to stay away from the negative and/or replace them with positive thoughts. The longer that you dwell on any negative thought, the more likely it will seem very true to you. When you begin to question your own value as a human being, you are blatantly abusing your own self-esteem. Why would you ever want to do that? Self-comparison involves self-worth and uniqueness to a very high degree. Have you ever been invited to a party for an old school friend? Did you dread the thought of how you will compare to people that you used to go to high school with? It's an ugly feeling isn't it? Then why not just think about seeing old friends again? Better yet, hope that many of the friends that you shared an important time of your life with will turn up, or for that matter are even still alive. There are many ways to look at things positively. Comparing yourself to other people is certainly not a good one. You will only succeed in setting yourself up for a very big fall into a pit of low self-esteem. Low self-esteem will only cloud your own belief in yourself. It will shatter the idea of uniqueness into tiny little pieces. If you try to value yourself through the eyes of others or through a comparison of others, you will be doing nothing but denying your own uniqueness. To know your uniqueness and self-worth is to know yourself, without hearing or seeing any other source of comparison. To allow any other influence to sway your thoughts of who you are, is totally a suicide. A suicide of your self-worth and uniqueness. I read this statement and I would like to share it with you. It seems very fitting for this subject. Written by Doctor Wright: "Others' opinions of you are none of your business, because they don`t really know you." So I ask, why do we compare? Why do we feel the need to satisfy ourselves with this self-torture? No-one else is comparing you to someone else. Your own vision of who you are is the most important step to building a positive self-esteem. Your self-esteem is a main driving factor in how you deal with life's challenges and also how you relate to others. When you are truly happy, you have so much more goodness to offer your world. Happiness feels like falling in love. It is pure, untouchable, and unmovable. Happiness can even be thought of like the wind. Like the wind, you can only feel it, but not really see it. That is what a positive self-esteem does for you. It is also what a negative self-esteem can crush. A low self-esteem is like pure torture. Your stomach twists so tight that you want to rip it out. With a low self-esteem, you can shake uncontrollably and even feel your hair stand up on your head. With low self-esteem you can feel sad, and hopeless, and your brightest idea is death.

Now you choose: Positive self-esteem =positive self-worth and uniqueness= happiness OR Negative self-esteem= negative self-worth and uniqueness= sadness It does not seem like a hard choice to me. The whole of creation is filled with abundance and we as part of that creation are formed from this abundance. The source of abundance is the source of all things seen and unseen and has many names, God, Creator, Great Spirit, Allah, Universal energy, the list goes on and the name changes depending upon each individuals belief system. Our link to the source is through our authentic self and at the moment of our birth we are a little bundle of abundance operating at our maximum level, which is unlimited potential. This is our starting point in life, a state of completeness knowing that everything we will ever need is within us every moment of our lives. Our authentic self is source actualized in us and through us, allowing us to live our life knowing that we are connected to and a part of everything that exists everywhere, we are never alone.

In order for all this to operate to our advantage the universe has a state of the art, top of the range piece of magic called the Law of Attraction. The way it works is simple, the law states that whatever we radiate out from us by our thoughts and emotions both conscious and unconscious, the universe will give back to us. This is an unlimited energy source providing enough for every man, woman and child on this planet, enabling us to live our lives without struggle and hardship. If we spent all of our life living to our maximum potential knowing the source of our abundance is within us and emitting that constantly, then we would want for nothing, indeed the word "want" would lose its meaning in this context.

Our authentic self would be evident by the qualities which define it, and the universe for its part would constantly send us more of all these wonderful things to allow us to live easily and effortlessly, enjoying also the by-products of abundance which are good health, wealth, happiness, indeed anything that keeps us in the flow of the cycle of abundance which is meant to happen automatically. The whole of creation is abundant by its very nature, and our birthright is to experience abundance as naturally as breathing. Then why is it the only thing that seems to come naturally and easy to us is breathing, and the abundance that is meant to be ours is either non-existent or in very short supply.

As we look at our own life and also the lives of others around us it is apparent that this picture of abundance as painted here is somewhat incomplete, and even seems like the world as we know it is operating on a different principle altogether. The Law of Attraction however is very precise and whatever we give out will be sent back to us, including negativity. The vast majority of us have grown up without being told how powerful we really are, and the idea that we create our own life just by what we think and feel seems ridiculous in the extreme. Over a very long period of time we have been told that in order to be a complete person we have to look outside ourselves, constantly searching for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

How is it possible that we have been turned around so completely from knowing we have the ability within us to control our own life and destiny, to being in a position where we are taught every step of our life to give our power away to someone else? As we grow every thought and feeling that leads us away from the idea of our own divinity and powerfulness creates a block to the flow of abundance within us, until a point is reached where the vast majority of our thoughts and feelings are rooted in fear and negativity which is reflected in our world as we see it. Negative thoughts create self doubt which leads to low or no self esteem and the emotions which are generated we then try to hide which creates our shadow, our unlikable self.

When we first hear about the Law of Attraction it can appear to be everything we ever dreamed if our life seems to be a constant struggle, and indeed it is a wonderful tool if we have the correct mindset when using it. Unfortunately as with many things it can be abused both intentionally and unintentionally with the result of keeping us locked in our fear. Trying to use the universe as our own personal warehouse just to make us feel good and have a nice life without first clearing the blocks within us to our flow of abundance, can only bring limited if any success. As doing it that way is still keeping us looking outside ourselves for someone or something to fill the void we feel is missing within us. So what do we have to do to prepare the way for our abundance to flow?

If you are new to internet marketing or affiliate marketing as it is also called than you probably have heard the saying that "the money is in the list". What do they mean by that statement. How do you get a list? What kind of list are they talking about? I know when I first heard it those were the questions running through my brain and even after they were answered I didn't have a clue on how to get my own list. I also wondered if it is true? Positively! From my experience in the trenches the list really is the key. It's the key to having the ability to selling to a pre-qualified group of people who have let you have their email address who are interested in something that you are selling. The beauty is that you can sell to them over and over again when you come up with a better product or service. You can educate them in what it is they need to know about said product or service. You can build a relationship with them that can last for years. But before you get a list you need to choose what it is that you want to sell. I am involved with affiliate marketing and the beauty of it is that you do not need your own product to begin making money. There are thousands of practical products existing that you can make a dollar on. All you have to do is find the customers and send them to the sellers and collect the cash. Whatever your interest is there are an unbelievable amount of products that you can make money selling. There are websites setup exclusively for this that have literally hundreds of products in a multitude of categories. You have no excuse for not being able to find a product that you have some interest in. If you are creative there is also a surplus of room for you to make and promote your own product.

This is called being an affiliate for the product that you choose to sell. Affiliate marketing is very easy to get started doing. You just need to sign up for their affiliate program, promote it, and watch the money start rolling in. This is great, you can't believe how easy this is, but then what? Most likely you would just find another product and start all over again. If only it was that easy. Picture this, when you pick or create this new product you already have a list of hundreds or thousands of people to instantly notify about it? You can fire off a snazzy email and immediate have money coming into your pocket. Because this is your list and they have already shown an interest in the type of product you are selling they are much more likely to buy it. Especially from you, who they now have a trust in, since you have built a relationship.

Then you can start advertising this product and add more people to your list to grow it even more. Then the next item you pick or create you will have all the more people to sell to. As you can see this method can have on a snowball effect. In a relatively short period of time your primary income will be from your online business. Wouldn't it be sweet to work from home! But the key question is how do you go about starting a list? Sounds easy enough but no one has mentioned the technique of acquiring this list.

One of the most often used ways is to create a squeeze page with some type of offer on it in exchange for their email address. This is a simple one page website that is designed to capture your visitors name and email address. If you offer them something of value they are more likely you give up their precious name and email address. There are plenty of things that you can get for free, like reports, charts, ebooks, that you offer to them.

Once you have captured their name and email address you add them to your auto responder and they are a part or your list. You now have a person who has shown an interest in your particular product or service and really wants more information. At this time you would redirect them to your affiliate product website or to your own website with a link. I have found it best to first send them to my own site to warm them up for the affiliates website by telling them all of the virtues of the product or service.

You now have a potential customer for your current and your future products. And they are more likely to buy than if you just sent them to an affiliate website because they showed they had enough interest to give up their precious name and email address.

When you email them regularly, every other day or so, make sure that you are giving them something of value. Some ideas are useful information, free reports, free software, or news articles you've come across. Try to show your personality in the email.

You can than show them your product and recommend a link to your product or affiliate page. Promote your product with a strong sales message. Tell why they need it and why it is better than other alternatives, stress any freebies that are available with purchase. Do not over use your list or they will shut you out. This is your most valuable resource and should not be jeopardized by overselling to them.

If you only promote the best products and always give good information you should do fine. You must not try to cheat or misrepresent anything to your list. Be a person that they can trust and get good information from and you will be able to make money from your list for years to come.

But with a little bit of reading and common sense, you can easily select a few legitimate survey companies to join, for free, and make between $10 and $100 per week.
